Nexus S 2.3.2 -> 2.3.3 -> 2.3.4 수동 업데이트 방법

Hey Abhilashraj,

Sure thing more than happy to help, we all need to start somewhere! And updating android is really easy one you know how - but yeah I don't blame you coming from the simplicity of the iphone it can be a pain if you want things quicker than waiting for the OTA update!

Firstly could you confirm that you are running 2.3.2, GRH78C (Go to settings --> about --> Build Number).

If true, then follow this (if not, tell me and I'll find you some different links!)

Charge phone to 80% or more!

1. As you are running 2.3.2 GRH78C first download this to your computer: http://android.clients.google.com/pa...C.98f3836c.zip

2. Plug in your Nexus S to your PC (or mac), switch on USB Storage and copy the file from wherever you saved it to the root of the removable disk (your nexus S)

3. rename the file "update.zip"

4. Disconnect your NS, and shut it down.

5. Holding down the volume up button, press the power button. You should boot into the "bootloader" (big android logo and some options)

6. Use the volume keys to highlight the "recovery" option, then press the power button (it works like a select button here)

7. Your screen will show "google" then a open box and a little android man, then this will turn to an exclamation mark inside a triangle.

8. Press the power and up buttons again, then select "apply update from /sdcard" as before using the up and down keys and the power button

9. select "update.zip" and press the power key - the phone should then update to 2.3.3

10. Once it is completed (check the status bar) select "reboot system now"

11. Complete!

First time I did this the update failed and removed all the Google apps, but that was my fault - I did the same process again and it fixed it all and booted into 2.3.3. It is VERY difficult to make this go wrong (i was just stuuuuuupid), so if it fails try again. You wont permanently damage your phone unless your really stupid

Once your phone reboots you will have 2.3.3. Repeat the same process as above but with this file instead to go to 2.3.4:http://android.clients.google.com/pa...0.a14a2dd0.zip

Remember to remove the 2.3.3 "update.zip" from your Nexus S before copying over the 2.3.4 update.zip

You cant skip the 2.3.3 update and go from 2.3.2 to 2.3.4 unfortunately but you should get future updates over the air still. It seems complex but just be careful and read your options and all should be fine. Don't let what seems to be overly complex put you off, its easy once you know!

Any problems, message me back! Let me know how it goes!

Impaler
